Peggy Janell Ainsworth Hosey, 80, of Bay Springs, MS died Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at her residence. She was born Friday, December 18, 1936 in Sylvarena, MS.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs. Burial will follow in Bay Springs City Cemetery. Rev. Steve Holloway and Mr. James Bryant will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601)764-2181

Peggy loved her family dearly. In her spare time she enjoyed working in her flower garden. She loved her church family and attending Mt. Nebo Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Burnham Ainsworth and Annie Ainsworth.

Survivors include her husband, James T. Hosey, Bay Springs, MS; son, James Burnham "Jamie" Hosey (Cindy), Sylvarena, MS; daughter, Tommie Ann "Dodie" Shelby (Keith), Moss, MS; brothers, Jerrol Ainsworth (Ann), Sylvarena, MS and Robert Ainsworth (Gloria), Sylvarena, MS; grandchildren, Ashley Hosey and Jessica Ellzey; and great granchildren, Dusty King and Riley King.

Pallbearers will be the MS Forestry Commission Coworkers and Kenneth Bryant.

Honorary pallbearers will be George Childre and Al Prince.
