Phillip Garner, 62, born July 9, 1962, of Bay Springs died at UMMC on October 15, 2024. He was born to Jeff Martin and Ola Yelverton Garner in Marietta, Georgia.
Phillip was an ASE/GM certified mechanic for many years and retired as a foreman for Price Gregory Construction. Phillip loved meeting new people and always left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was a tough guy with a heart of gold.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Jeff martin and Ola Garner, grandparents, Oree and Pauline Garner, Earl, and Eva D. Yelverton, and brother Danny Garner.
Phillip is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Linn Hill Garner; three daughters, Jessica (Cal) Clark, Bridget (Herman) King, and Katelinn Garner; two sons, Jeffrey (Cindy) Garner and Jacob (Aly) Garner, and eleven grandchildren. He also leaves behind one brother, David (Diane) Garner and his first wife, Tahni (Chris) Rutherford, mothers-in-law, Nelda Hill and Judith Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, and "extra" grandchildren, his eleven dogs and eight cats.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to something that always brought happiness to Phillip, his love for children and animals. Happy Healthy Pets, Southern Pines Animal Shelter, or Children's of Mississippi (Blair E. Batson). A memorial will be held at a future date.
