Ralph Keats Read, 82, of Louin, MS died Monday, March 06, 2017 at his home in Louin, MS. He was born Tuesday, January 29, 1935 in Louin, MS.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 08, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in Bay Springs. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 08, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in David Read Cemetery in Louin, MS. Bro. Steve Pouncey will officiate.

Ralph Read retired from Georgia Pacific where he served for over 12 years. He enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing and in his earlier years loved fine tuning cars for drag racing. He will be truly missed by all that knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Andrew Read and Katie James Read; Brothers: Arleigh Read, Daniel Read, Burkitt Read, Houston Read, Hugh Read, Ross Read; Infant brothers: Richard E. Read, David Watson Read, James Crawford Read; Sisters: Faye Read Haden, Dovie Read Newton and Opal Read Price.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Bobbie Adams Read, daughter, Marie Read DeBolt (Scott), grandchildren, Daniel DeBolt, Ella Katherine DeBolt; sister, Dahlia Read Reeves; brother, Webster Read (Betty), A host of sister and brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mark Read, Glenn Green, Dusty Green, Dr. Adam Pugh, Daniel DeBolt, Ella Katherine DeBolt and Scott DeBolt.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to David Read Cemetery Fund.
