Richard Daniel 'Dan' Lewis, 84, of Montrose, Mississippi, died Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Jasper County Nursing Home in Bay Springs, Mississippi. He was born Friday, January 17, 1936 in Meridian, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11, 2020 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Montrose Methodist Church in Montrose, Mississippi. Graveside Services will follow at 3:00 PM at Montrose Cemetery. Bro. Joe Garvin will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601) 764-2181

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Hensley and Annie Louise Lewis, sisters, Nettie Stringer, Lillie Bell Dennis, brothers, Olin Lewis Sr., Ernest Lewis, John Lewis, Coyt Lewis.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Laura Laverne Lewis, step-children, Robert Glenn Bilbrey (Elaine), Billy Don Bilbrey (Sherry), Steve Dwayne Thornton (Donna), a host of step grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brother, Jerry A. Lewis, sister, Ann Haden (Douglas),  2 nieces and 4 nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kirby Haden, Kolby Haden, Brandon Sorrell, Robert Bilbrey, Chad Bilbrey and Jim Fries.
