Robert M. James, 86 of Bay Springs, MS passed away Friday, January 5, 2024, at his residence in Bay Springs, MS. He was born Tuesday, April 20, 1937, in Sylvarena, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 10:00AM until 12:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in 22 E 4th Avenue, Bay Springs, MS. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at 12:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in Bay Springs, MS. Burial will follow in Sylvarena Baptist Church Cemetery in Sylvarena, MS. Bro. Ed King and Bro. Stanley Downs will officiate. Robert was a loving husband and father and a loving Papa to his grandchildren and great-grands. He was known by many as a friend and a bossman at TEC. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tambra Darlene James; father, Jessie Lee James; mother, Loretta Jenkins James; sister, Mellie Stewart.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Alice Yelverton James; son, Anthony James (Je`an); daughter, Cindy Doolittle; grandchildren, Madison James, Macey James, Landon James, William James, Olivia James, Savannah McDonald (Zain) and Shelby Boone (Jacob); great grandchildren, Tate Hancock, Kohen Hancock, Landry McDonald, Nora McDonald and Luke McDonald; brothers, Paul James (Ann) and Ross James; sister, Sue Steen; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Zain McDonald, Jacob Boone, Camron Clark, Preston Hancock, Landon James, and William James.
