Robert Kenneth "Ken" Walin, Jr.
(September 8, 1946 – May 16, 2025)

Robert Kenneth "Ken" Walin, Jr., aged 78, of Newton, MS, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. Born on September 8, 1946, in Laurel, Mississippi, he was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend.

Mr. Ken was a graduate of Laurel High School and went on to earn a degree in Electric Engineering from Mississippi State University. He enjoyed music and cherished spending time with his loving wife.

He is survived by his wife, Gale Thompson Walin of Newton, MS; his son, Jeff Walin; his daughter, Tay Walin Hollis; numerous grandchildren; his brother, Carl Walin (Rebecca); his sister, Judith Walin Anderson; and a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Kenneth Walin, Sr., and his mother, Aileene Smith Thompson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 10:00am until 11:00am at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh, located at 219 Sylvarena Ave, Raleigh, Mississippi. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the same location, with burial at Double Church Cemetery Raleigh in Raleigh, Mississippi. Bro. Mark Thompson will officiate the services, and arrangements are being handled by Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Mr. Ken will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
