Rodney Gerald (Sonny) Gross, 78 of Bay Springs, MS passed away Saturday, January 21, 2023 at his residence in Bay Springs, MS. He was born Monday, April 10, 1944 in Memphis, Tennessee.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 9:30 until 11:00. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in Bay Springs, MS. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery South in Memphis, Tennessee. Bro. Ed King will officiate.

Rodney was a member of Bay Springs Baptist Church. He loved his family and enjoyed traveling. After his retirement from construction, he enjoyed driving a school bus for the Bay Springs Schools.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Gina Gross; father, Houston Gross; mother, Virginia Howard Gross; brother, Houston Gross, Jr..

Survivors include his wife, Katherine Hutto Gross of Bay Springs, MS; sons, Rodney Gross, Jr. (Olivia), Tim Lowrimore (Ondine) and Will Lowrimore (Nikki); daughter, Cheryl Davis (Lloyd); brother, Robert Gross (Shirley); sisters, Mary Sanders and Shirley Cabrera (Sam); Host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
