Obituary

Roy Donald Glenn, a beloved Father, brother, Papaw, and friend, passed away on February 20, 2025, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, Mississippi. He was 83 years old and was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Ferros Glenn, his parents, Doye Hosey Glenn, and L.W. Glenn and his grandson, Micah Glenn.

Roy was born on August 8, 1941, in Mississippi, and his life was marked by a strong commitment to his family, faith, and community. He was a faithful member of Lake Como Baptist Church. Roy's dedication to serving others was evident in his active involvement with the Gideons and ministering at the Jasper County Jail, where he devoted his time and energy to spreading the word of God.

Roy was a loving and devoted family man, survived by his siblings - Linda Stringer, Bill Glenn, Ray Glenn, and Roy (Rowdy) Glenn; children - Penny Watkins (Shelby) and Ricky Glenn (Jenny); Grandchildren - Daniel Watkins (Alaina), Sarah Watkins, Mary Watkins, Braden Nelson, Ethan Nelson, Joseph Nelson, Jude Glenn, and Geneva Clare Glenn; Great-grandchildren - Charlotte Grace Watkins and Arthur Jonathan Watkins. He will be deeply missed.

Roy's impact on his family and community will be cherished and remembered for years to come. A service to celebrate his life and legacy will be held at Lake Como Baptist Church in Bay Springs, MS on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025 at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Gideons International in his memory.
