Russell Stewart Green, 53, of Heidelberg, MS died Friday, October 20, 2017 at his home in Heidelberg, MS. He was born Friday, January 24, 1964 in Laurel, MS.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs in Bay Springs. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery in Heidelberg, MS. Bro. Jamie Altman and Rev. Hugh Acton will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. (601)764-2181

Rusty was a lifelong resident of Heidelberg, an elder of the Heidlelberg Presbyterian Church, board member of Farm Bureau, and member of the Mississippi Cattleman's Association. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and farmer because of his passion for outdoors. He was a devoted Christian, husband, father, and friend who worked hard all his life. Rusty will be truly missed by his family, friends, and all that knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Russell Barton Green; aunts and uncles, James H. and Jackie Belding, W.R. Green, Jr. and J.C. and Marie Dixon.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle Green; mother, Betty Morse Green; daughters, Carley Michelle Green, Kelsey Diane Green, and Katelyn Stewart Green; brother, Richard Todd Green (Holly); aunts and uncles, Patricia D. Green, Nan M. Sinclair, Billie M. McCormick (Chic), Faye M. Busby, Maggie Conn (Henry), and Gabe Green (Elizabeth); A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Scott Green, Richie Green, Des Lee, Phil Dixon, Bud Dixon, Tracy Dixon, and Junior Dixon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Belding, Buddy Anderson, John Risher, Dr. Phil Balaski, Kenneth Dykes, Brian Gatlin, Max McLaurin, Tony Buster, and Shannon Buster.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Seth Harris Foundation.
