Ryan Patrick Munoz, 39 of Taylorsville, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Raleigh.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 11:00 am at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Buffington Family Cemetery in Raleigh. Bro. Danny Dickerson will officiate.
Ryan was born in Jackson and was a longtime resident of Hinds County. He completed his formal education at Camp Shelby and later served in the Mississippi Army National Guard. He furthered his education at Holmes Community College at Ridgeland, Madison County, MS. He was self employed as the sole proprietor of Munoz and Company, LLC. He was a Christian by testimony of his faith and a member of Sylvarena Baptist Church. Favorite past times were fishing, motorcycle riding, playing soccer and sports with his children. He also loved to sing, country music in particular. Working out and going to the gym, were also things he enjoyed doing. He loved his family very much and will be truly missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his father: Max E. Munoz; his paternal grandparents: Maximo and Lucille Munoz and maternal grandparents: Douglas and Louise Buffington.
Survivors include his wife of seven years: Kelsey Atwood Munoz of Taylorsville; son, Liam Munoz; daughter: Avery Munoz; step-son: Carson McCord; mother: Cynthia L. Buffington Broadaway (David) of Brandon; brothers: William J. Brantley of Pearl, Austin E. Broadaway (Nicole) of Hattiesburg; Anthony Munoz (Liza), Shaun Munoz, both of Georgia; Aaron Munoz (Kelly) and Allen Munoz (Desiree) and sister, Tasha Munoz Hill (Wayne) all of Texas; aunts, Christie Buffington of Philadelphia, PA and Debra Buffington of Picayune; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Channing Redd, Jeremy Hefner, Chris Allen, Lee Allen, Lon Williamson, and Greg Russell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Stacey Grays and Darrell Layton.
