Stanley Earl Ishee, 81 of Louin, MS, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022, (only 3 days away from his 82 nd birthday) at his home in Louin, MS. He was born Thursday, July 25, 1940, in Louin, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2022, from 1:00 until 2:00PM with funeral services following at 2:00PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs, MS. Burial will follow at Louin Cemetery in Louin, Mississippi. Bro. Hal Ethridge will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. 601-764-2181
He presided as Mayor of Louin for 20 years and also served on the Louin Board of Alderman for 4 years. He attended Louin Baptist Church his entire life. He worked at La-Z-Boy for 37 years before retiring to enjoy his grandchildren, wife, and riding his golf cart. His grandchildren were the loves of his life and he truly enjoyed every minute he was able to share with them. He loved SEC football and the New Orleans Saints even though they weren't very successful for so many years. If you ever saw him without his cap on, you must have been dreaming because he loved his caps. He would give you the shirt off his back because he was one of the most generous people around. If you were his friend, you were truly a lucky individual. He will be dearly missed by his family, but we will see him one day when we all reach Heaven.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George C. and Mable Browning Ishee, and brothers, Paul Ishee and Darrell Ishee.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Auzlia Deese Ishee, daughter, Sheila De Ann Johnson (Darren), son, Stan Ishee, grandchildren, Dustin Johnson, Zoe' Ishee, Nicholas Johnson, Sadie Johnson, sisters, Bernice Green, Judy Lewinski (Tom), brother, Dan Ishee (Linda).
Pallbearers will be Darren Johnson, Dustin Johnson, Nicholas Johnson, Wayne Ishee, Stan Ishee, and Mark Ishee.
