Terry loved farming. He started out his working career at the age of 17 as a dairy farmer and later added hog farming to his operation. He raised hundreds of acres of soy beans and in 1976 he was named Ms. Farm Bureau's Young Farmer of the year going on to place 3rd in the nation in the Young Farmers Corporation. In 1980, he opened the doors on a meat packing facility, Hickory Hollow Farms, employing about 50 who quickly became friends. He sold this business in 1998 and moved on to yet another adventure, which was becoming a partner in the poultry supply store known as K & T Poultry located in Bay Springs. In this business venture, he oversaw the building and equipping of hundreds of chicken houses. In 2007, he sold this business to Georgia Poultry thinking he was retiring. However, in 2012, he became the building coordinator for Koch Foods out of Forest, MS. He remained at Koch Foods until a tragic accident on November 1, 2021. Even though he was no longer able to physically work, in his mind and heart, he was working every day. Terry was happy when he was working. He

He had a kind and generous heart. He loved people and loved helping young people in whatever way he could to help them get a start in life. He loved to talk and tell tales of his adventures in life. He will be greatly missed.
