Tessa Lane Blakeney, aged 45, of Bay Springs, MS, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at her residence. Born on December 4, 1979, in Laurel, Mississippi, Tessa was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend.

A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Mineral Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylorsville, Mississippi, with Bro. Kelly Tingle officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Colonial Chapel Funeral Home Of Bay Springs.

Tessa was a 1998 graduate of Taylorsville High School and a cherished member of the First Baptist Church of Taylorsville. She was married to the love of her life, Billy Joe Blakeney, on October 24, 2002. Tessa enjoyed cheerleading in high school, fishing, taking care of animals, and most of all, spending time with her loving family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Blakeney of Bay Springs, MS; her son, William Lane Blakeney; her daughter, Gracie Ann Blakeney; her parents, Carrol and Melinda Yelverton Gable; her brother, Michael Aubert Gable; her sister, Dana Marie Gable Upchurch (David); her grandmother, Yvonne Gable; her sister-in-law, Carol Ann Blakeney; and a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Aubert Gable, and grandparents, Killie and Winnie Tanner Yelverton.
