Thomas Simon Diaz, 85, of Louin, MS passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025. He was born Sunday, November 12, 1939, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Augustine Diaz and Lucille Diaz.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Diaz; daughter, Laura Linn; son, Tony Diaz, and daughter, Stephanie Deschner, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Tom was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1958-1962, as a radar technician. He went on to have a career in electronics engineering and broadcasting engineering for many years. He was a dedicated husband to his wife Linda for 63 years and served as an elder in the Church of God for 33 years. Tom was well known in the community, working on some electronics for nearly everyone, such as Mississippi Laminators in Shubuta, and at WHII/WXIY eventually WIZK-AM radio in Bay Springs. He was a dedicated Christian man, wonderful father, and devoted husband.

A memorial service in Tom's honor will be held Sunday, March 23rd, 2025 at 2:30 PM at Bay Springs City Hall, 39 6th St, Bay Springs, MS 39422.
