Tommy Joe Sykes, 71, of Raleigh, Mississippi, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021. He was born Tuesday, July 25, 1950.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 28, 2021, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh. Memorial Services will follow at 11:00 AM in the chapel. Bro. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Monroe and Lela Mae Sykes; brothers Jerry Sykes, Sidney Sykes, and sister, Maurice Milner.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Annette Sykes; daughter, Betty Middleton (James Parker); grandchildren, Jessica Hendrix and Ramsey Middleton; great-grandchildren, Zoey Kayt, Koltyn, Kastyn Hendrix; sisters, Sheila McDaniel; brothers, W.L. Sykes (Evelyn), Bobby Sykes (Nancy), Billy Ray Sykes (Pam), Richard Sykes (Charlette), and Jeffery Sykes (Sherry); sister-in-law, Norma Kay Sykes.
