Toney Larry (T.L.) Harris 75, was born August 25, 1941 in Sylvarena, Miss. to Edgar Roland Harris and Ruby Tessel Craft Harris. He passed peacefully in his sleep December 1, 2016 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. He lived most of his life in Raleigh, Miss. and served in the U.S. Navy 1961-1965. He was most recently a resident of Grenada.

T.L. will always be remembered as a hard-working man that not only raised his own sons but many of their friends over the years. He kept his wit and sense of humor to the very end, and enjoyed the little things in life like a good cup of coffee, tasty food, good friends and wonderful family. He loved animals and country living, especially gardening and fishing.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Raleigh, MS. Reggie Chisholm will be officiating the services. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Raleigh is in charge of arrangements. 601-782-4544

T.L. was preceded in death by both parents, his brother Jerry and step-son Paul Clinton Brown. He is survived by his wife, Betty Dyann Chisholm, a sister, Ruby Gaye Tadlock of Sevierville, Tenn., sons Toney Larry Harris, Jr. (Susie Gee) and Spencer William Harris (Leah Oshinsky), step-sons Chad Brown (Darla Baber) and Chris Brown (Charlyne Gray), and grandchildren Wesley (Sophie Hughes), Jaya, and Braxton Brown, Roland Harris, Finley and Hadley Brown, and Wyatt Harris.
