Travis Edward Clark
(July 4, 1941 – October 9, 2024)

Travis Edward Clark, 83, passed away peacefully at home on October 9, 2024, with his family by his side, after a sudden brief illness. He was a loving husband to his wife and devoted father to his children.

He leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Carolyn Pugh Clark; his son, Steven (Kathy) and daughter, Sherry (Daniel); along with the four brightest spots in his life – his four grandchildren, Katy, Will, Kierston, and Abigail.  He also leaves behind his two sisters, Charlotte Aycock and Beth Parker; three brothers, Walter, Randy, and Robert; and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Muriel Clark; and sister, Anna Faye Cook.

Edward graduated from Stringer High School.  He then worked at Masonite in Laurel, Oil Field Recovery Operations, Sheet Metal Technician, and then retired from Sumrall Services catering and vending operations.

After retirement, he was happiest spending time with his family but coveted his time on his tractor or lawn mower or projects making improvements on his land and property.  He will be remembered for his indescribable kindness, selfless dedication to his wife and family, being a hard worker until the very end.  Our family thanks you for your prayers.

A family graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. at Bay Springs City Cemetery in Bay Springs, MS. Bro. Daniel Smith will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs is in charge of arrangements. 601-764-2181
