Velma Blakeney Webb of Taylorsville, MS passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023. She was born Tuesday, March 10, 1942 in Mineral Springs, Mississippi.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Mineral Springs Baptist Cemetery in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Bro. Frankie Clark will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is in charge of arrangements (601) 764-2181.

Mrs. Velma was a loving wife and mother who spent her life taking care of her family which led to a career in nursing.  She enjoyed knitting, watching Wheel of Fortune, fishing with her grandchildren and playing with her chihuahuas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Taylor and Hettie Lewis Blakeney and her brother, Mack Blakeney.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, H.D. Webb;  sons, Darrel Webb (Joyce), Keith Webb (Sondra), Chris Webb (Lisa) and Dean Webb (Sheri);  daughter, Jan Walters (Heath);  grandchildren, Mark Webb (Carrie), Michael Webb (Shannon), Jade McBride (Zac), Matthew Webb, Allison Glisson (Scotye), Justin Webb, Zachary Webb, Rachael Grossman (Alex), Evan Webb (Rylee) and Cory Walters; and nine great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Michael Webb, Matthew Webb, Zachary Webb, Scotye Glisson, Evan Webb, and Cory Walters.
