Vera V. Shumaker, 80, of Magee, Mississippi, died Tuesday, September 8, 2020 in Magee, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, March 21, 1940 in Raleigh, Mississippi.

Graveside Services will be held Friday, September 11, 2020 at 11:00 AM at East Side Baptist Church Cemetery and burial will follow in East Side Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Keith Bogan and Bro. Vera was a member Phalti Baptist Church. She played the piano at Puchuta Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Minnie Thorton, son, Tommy Waggoner, brothers, Oyd Thorton, Kemmis Thorton, Mack Thorton.

Survivors include her husband of 9 years, Rev. James H. Shumaker, granddaughter, Ashley Waggoner and a host nieces and nephews.
