Walter Mack Hawkins, Sr., 87, of Raleigh, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at Hillcrest Nursing Center in Magee, Mississippi. He was born Friday, May 1, 1931 in Raleigh, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Raleigh, MS. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 10:00 AM, at First Baptist Church in Raleigh, MS. Burial will follow in North Raleigh Cemetery. Bro. Danny Dickerson, Bro. Jeff Myers, and Dr. Keith Gordon will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Raleigh is in charge of arrangements. (601) 782-4544

Our daddy's family meant everything to him, and he loved spending time with us. He loved hunting, fishing, and reading. He enjoyed  life, always having fun, and was the biggest jokester. We will miss him sorely.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Walter and Bessie Hawkins; his wife of 50 years, Clarice Irlene Hawkins; his sister, Mary Cole; his brothers, Hilliard Hawkins, Jesse Hawkins, John G Hawkins, Ralph Hawkins, Charles Kelly Hawkins, Donnie Hawkins, and Jimmy Hawkins.

Survivors include his four children, Debra Eubanks, Elizabeth Jane Walker (Larry), Walter Mack Hawkins, Jr. (Susan), and Karen Armstrong (Mike); his only surviving brother, Robert Hawkins; his seven grandchildren, Stephanie Cuellar (Justin), Tiffanie Harper (Wes), Walt Armstrong, MaChelle Kennedy (Chaz), David Eubanks (Megan), Joshua Hawkins, and Hannah Hawkins; fifteen great-grandchildren, William Hawkins, Dristan Hawkins, Callie Ann Latham, Sadie Hughes, Nola Hawkins, Peyton Barnard, Kaden Harper, Carson Harper, Triston Cuellar, Justin Lane Cuellar, Makaylin Cuellar, Michelle Cuellar, Machaelle Kennedy, Kyaline Kennedy, and Matthew Kennedy.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Hawkins, Gary Hawkins, Charlie Crumpton, Wilson Hallman, Larry Lambert, Mike Hawkins, Greg Young, and Tracy Westbrook.
