Wanda Louise McMullan Roberson was born on October 19, 1933, to Egbert Lowery "Jack" and Edna McMullan in Smith County, Mississippi.

Wanda was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, and a very loving mother. She was a 1952 graduate of Sylvarena High School, where she received Most Valuable player for the basketball team. After moving to Jackson, she met and married the love of her life, James Roberson. Wanda had many passions, including reading, sewing, preparing meals, collecting cookbooks, visiting with family and friends as well as spending time in her garden growing flowers and vegetables.

She retired from Steven's Sportswear of Taylorsville after serving for 27 years.

Wanda was a Christian by faith and a lifelong member of Sylvarena Baptist Church.

Wanda passed away on November 6, 2025, at Jasper General Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, James Roberson; her son, Egbert Allen; her parents, Egbert Lowery "Jack" and Edna McMullan; her brothers, Deral McMullan, and wife Peggy McMullan, Egbert Latrelle "Shell" McMullan, and Lincoln McMullan.

She is survived by her children, James "Rickey" Roberson, Kathy Ann Roberson Chisholm, John Anthony Roberson (Charmeka) and Pamela Boyd; her grandchildren, Liana Kay Roberson, Jena Larie Roberson, Christopher Chisholm, Amanda Abney, James Lee Roberson, Jacob Boyd, and Allie Boyd Wilson (Nick); her great-grandchildren, Robert Lee Fairley, Haley Abney, and Joanna Drew Alburn; her great-great grandchild, Nevaeh Fairley; her brother, Hal Thomas McMullan (Barbara), her sisters, Mudora Miller, Vera Smith (James), Patricia Williams (Mitchell); her sister-in-law, Shelby McMullan; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Colonial Chapel of Bay Springs from 2:00-3:00 PM. Graveside services will be held following at Sylvarena Cemetery in Sylvarena, MS at 3:30 PM.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Boyd, James Lee Roberson, Christopher Chisholm, Richmond Boyd, and Allen Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be James "Rickey" Roberson and John Roberson.
