William Ansel Sumrall, affectionately known as Bill, passed away at the age of 68 on October 22, 2025, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. Born on January 15, 1957, in Leland, Mississippi, Bill was a beloved resident of Louin, MS.

Bill was a lifelong pipe liner who had a passion for hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors, particularly gardening. He was cherished by his family, especially his nieces and nephews, who fondly remember the cherished 'back porch talks' with him.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Denise King Sumrall, his son Casey Sumrall and daughter-in-law Autumn, his sister Malinda Sumrall Sullivan, and his grandchildren Keith and Daniel Sumrall. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who adored him.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Darden Sumrall, Jr, and Sue Boyd Sumrall.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs, located at 22 E 4th Avenue, Bay Springs, MS. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM, with burial at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Louin, Mississippi. Bro. Carey Bass will officiate the services.

Pallbearers will be Shay Sumrall, William Myers, Chris Smith, Brad Scott, Trey Scott, and Blayne Scott. Honorary pallbearers include Brian King, Deanna Butler, and Natasha Blackwell.
