Mr. William Glenn Trest
(June 26, 1943 – April 26, 2025)

Mr. William Glenn Trest, aged 81, of Beckley, West Virginia, and formerly of Bay Springs, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at the CaMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, West Virginia. Born on June 26, 1943, in Bay Springs, Mississippi, William was a cherished member of the community.

He was a proud 1962 graduate of Taylorsville High School and served his country honorably in the United States Army. After his military service, William worked at Neco, in the oil fields, served in the National Guard, and then for twenty-three years an equipment operator at Georgia Pacific in Taylorsville, Mississippi until his retirement. After his retirement, he enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, and most of all, spending time with his beloved grandbaby "Rosie".

William was a devoted member of the Jesus Name Church of Sylvarena, where his funeral services will be held. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the church located at 2882 SCR 128, Raleigh, Mississippi. He will be laid to rest with military honors at the Jesus Name Church of Sylvarena Cemetery.  Bro. Bill Walker will officiate the services, and special music will be provided by The Craft Sisters.  All arrangements are being handled by Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Bay Springs, Mississippi.

He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-five years, Susan Caroline Trest; his son, Jacob William Trest; his step-daughter, Misty Russell; his grandchildren, Savannah Rose "Rosie" Trest, Kyla Cole, Michael Cole, and Mason Russell; and his sisters, Doris Pearl Trest Ishee and Patsy Lee Trest Dickard. William was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Edward Trest and Sarah Frances Ishee Trest, as well as his brothers, Prentiss Edward 'Pete' Trest and Jimmy Ross Trest, and his sisters, Sarah Estelle Trest Norris and Norma Jean Trest Robin.

William will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. His legacy of love and dedication to his family and community will be remembered fondly.

Pallbearers will be Gil Trest, John Rutherford, Joe Parker, DuJohn Parker, Randy Parker, and Dewayne Trest.

Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn Allen Trest, Dennis Parker, and Blake Rutherford.
